Ep. 46 | The Joy of Designing New Country Houses
We are joined by renowned classical architect, Francis Terry, who provides fascinating insights into designing new country houses today
Launching a three-part series on new country houses, in this episode we talk to pre-eminent classical architect Francis Terry about designing new country houses in the classical tradition that are fit for 21st century living.
Francis comes from a distinguished line of architects; his father is the great Quinlan Terry, who was himself the protégé of leading inter- and post- war classical architect Raymond Erith.
Francis has worked on some of the greatest new-build country houses of the past few decades, initially with his father and latterly with his own team of associates.
We were delighted to be joined by Francis, who is a great friend of the podcast, and we hope our listeners find the conversation interesting.
